| Joe Martin, Jr. Senior Pastor
Joe Martin, Jr, is Trinity Church’s Founding and Senior Pastor. Born in Arkansas and raised in Hickory Valley, Tennessee, Pastor Joe moved to Dallas after graduating from the University of Mississippi in 1981. He married our wonderful Nancy in April of 1985 and is the father of two children, Joe III and Landen. While serving as the Associate Pastor and Director of Missions at Sojourn Church in Carrollton, Texas, Pastor Joe sensed the call to plant a vibrant church in the heart of Dallas. So, in January 1995, he and Nancy started Trinity Church with, as he says, “all the assets of the church in the trunk of our car.”
Over the years that followed, they have seen families, students and professionals added to the church and have continually committed themselves to encouraging believers to live extraordinary lives. Pastor Joe has ministered in over 40 nations and is known by many around the world as a passionate preacher, a dynamic leader, and an insightful prophetic voice in the family of God.
So, beyond the “official” stats, what is our Senior Pastor like? Well, as his staff and church family will attest, Pastor Joe has a very funny sense of humor and a sharp intellect. He loves to hunt, golf and hang out with his kids. And he’s a real softie when it comes to movies — show him a film with an inspirational story, an overcoming character, or a poignant plot, and he’s reduced to tears. And spend a bit of time with him and you realize this: Pastor Joe is meticulously organized. We mean, amazingly organized. His sock drawer is a wonder to behold!
But above all, Joe Martin, Jr. is a man who loves God with all his heart and loves people. This is what keeps him going: seeing people come to Christ and getting equipped to impact their family, community and world for Jesus.

| Eric Soon Executive Pastor
As Executive Pastor, Eric Soon oversees our staff and all administrative operations of the church. In concert with Pastor Joe, he leads strategic planning for our different ministries and directs long-term goals for our financial department, human resources and IT Systems. Now, you may be thinking, “That sounds like too large of a job for one person.” Well, you haven’t met Eric yet.
Eric is a man who covers any flat surface with a whiteboard, which he proceeds to cover with plans, strategies, project ideas and diagrams. Walk into his office and your senses will be overwhelmed with the scent of dry erase markers and opera music! He is a gifted strategist and adept at leading teams to help implement those strategies.
Born and raised in Singapore, Eric served in that nation’s armed forces before attending the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He graduated with a degree in Finance and Management Information Systems and worked for several years in the business world. Eric began attending Trinity Church in 1999 and joined our staff in 2002. He is a great asset to our team and loves helping people achieve the goals they’ve set.
When we asked him what movie title would describe his life, he responded, “'Tomorrow Never Dies'…there’s always something else waiting to get done!” Amongst all his ministry planning and project management, Eric does manage to fit in trips to bizarre, far-flung restaurants around the metroplex. To put it mildly, he loves to eat! And he loves to take his friends with him on his adventures.

| Matthew Rowland Associate Pastor, Children's Ministry
Matthew Rowland has a fan club. Of course, most of the members are under four feet tall, and five of them are his own children! Nonetheless, as Trinity’s Associate Pastor of Children’s Ministry, Matthew is quite the favorite with the under-11 set (and their parents, too).
A Trinity staff member since 2001, Matthew is a dynamic leader and brings a spirit of exuberance and fun to our Extraordinary Kid’s church services and Trinity Tykes program. He and his wife, Jane, put their hearts and souls into making sure that our youngest members are nurtured, taught and ministered to each week. In addition, Matthew also directs Trinity’s Administration and Accounting Departments. Not many people can corral a class of eight year olds and manage payroll, but Matthew makes it all look easy. And did we mention that he and Jane have five children? Talk about multi-tasking!
A graduate of Christ for the Nations Institute, Matthew served with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) before coming to Trinity. He has a heart for the Lord and for the nations, which he brings to our Children’s Ministry each week. Want to see a different side of Matthew? Stop by his office sometime and ask him to show you his mohawk picture. That in itself is worthy of a fan club.

| Melissa Moore Associate Pastor, Worship & Communications
If you had asked Melissa Moore 15 years ago what she’d be doing when she “grew up”, she might have told you she’d be starring in a Broadway musical or dancing with a ballet company. Little did she know that the Lord would call her into full-time ministry as Trinity Church’s Associate Pastor of Worship and Communications.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Melissa is a graduate of Southern Methodist University. She joined our Trinity staff in 2000 as the Director of World Missions. In 2003, she became our worship leader, bringing her passion for God in powerful, heart-felt worship to all of our services. Melissa also oversees the Communications Department and is a member of our Pastoral Team. So, if you see it, hear it, or read it at one of our weekend services, chances are Melissa’s had a hand in it!
Melissa and her husband, Joseph, are active in many areas of Trinity life, and love to connect with people inside and outside the church. Melissa is known for her warmth, humor and depth of insight into the things of God.

| Joy Lindsey Associate Pastor, Prayer & Intercession
Pastor Joe says that prayer is the engine that drives the church. That being the case, Joy Lindsey is manning the engine room! A member of Trinity Church Dallas since day one, Joy serves as our Associate Pastor of Prayer and Intercession. She oversees our prayer team and intercessory prayer ministry. However long before she held this position, Joy has had a passionate heart for the Lord and a unique ability to hear what He is saying to our church.
Joy daily intercedes on behalf of our congregation and leadership and inspires others to connect with God through prayer. Have you turned in a PUSH (Pray Until Something Happens) card during a weekend service? Joy ensures that every one of those requests is covered in prayer. She takes a genuine interest in people and their needs. In fact, many of our members can point to an encouraging note, an unexpected phone call, or a hug from Joy that came at just the right time.
Joy graduated with a degree from Baylor College of Dentistry and works as a dental hygienist. Though she spends her week at the dental office, she also loves to ski, paint, and travel. Her friends remark on her joyful spirit and upbeat personality. No one is more aptly named than our Joy!

| Jimmy Wallace Associate Pastor, Pastoral Care & Ministry
Long before Jimmy Wallace joined our staff in January 2006, he was already fulfilling his job description. A man of great compassion, wisdom and insight, Jimmy has been pastoring and ministering to Trinity members for quite a while, so we decided to make it official. As our Associate Pastor of Pastoral Care and Ministry, Jimmy oversees our Victory Weekends as well as our ministry of inner healing.
Born in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Jimmy has been a part of Trinity since our very first service. For many years, he was the lead guitarist on our worship team, and is a brilliantly talented musician. He also owns a guitar show, which is the largest guitar event of its kind in the world.
Jimmy and his wife Kathleen are committed to helping people learn to walk in spiritual freedom and seeing them pass that on to others. They have three sons; James, John David and Grant.
Passionate about people, Jimmy gets most excited when he sees others embrace their healing in Christ….and when he finds a vintage guitar!

| Jerret Sykes Associate Pastor, Campus Ministry
Give the man a guitar, a Bible or a golf club and watch him go to work! Jerret Sykes is a man of many talents and has been a part of the Trinity staff since mid-2005. As Director of our Campus Ministries, Jerret has an easy manner and magnetic personality that students and well, just about anybody, relate to. He is also a dynamic preacher and minister.
Jerret, his wife, Allison, and daughter, Hattie Leigh, daughter Laine and son, Bo, moved from Houston to join the Trinity team. A graduate of the University of Houston, he was an economics and marketing major and a collegiate baseball player before going into full-time ministry. If you’ve attended one of our weekend services, you’ve probably seen Jerret — he also is often our Service Director.
Jerret says he’s energized by seeing people come to the Lord and by spending time with his family. And of course, as he says, “guzzling a Starbucks anything” gives him that extra kick when he needs it.
